Pg. 58-122 Summary
There were many things that pages
58-122 covered about writing a good proper essay and ways to help you out with
making the process a lot easier. The first thing it talked about was explaining
ways on how to come up with a good topic for your essay. Everybody writes
better when they know the topic that they are talking about well. Some of the
things they said to do were things like brainstorming, drawing, clustering and
asking questions. The next step after figuring out your topic is planning and
drafting. Some tips that the book said to do were to narrow the topic, to craft
a working thesis, and to plan and outline your essay. The reading showed us to
develop paragraphs along with choosing the right types of formats. The final
step according to “The Everyday Writer” is too review and revise your paper. It
gave us many options on how to review and plan your essay, but the most common
ones they stated were to reread your paper and to have a peer read and revise
your paper as well.
